SM Lanang Premier Ushers in a Royal Christmas 2012
SM Lanang Premier Ushers in a Royal Christmas 2012…
The people who were there indeed experienced the grandness of the season as SM Lanang Premier officially ushers in and celebrates Christmas with the lighting ceremony of their majestic 40-foot royal Christmas Tree inspired by royalty yesterday November 10, 2012 at six in the evening at The Atrium.
We were among those who were lucky to have been invited to this beautiful event of SM Lanang Premier yesterday.
Before the show started, the Manila String Machine filled the air with music and played several Christmas songs to entertain the people.
Department of Tourism Regional XI Director Mr. Art Boncato and Ms. Margie Moran-Floirendo graced the Christmas launch of SM Lanang Premier.
Present during the event shown in the photo below were (L-R) Councilor Al Ryan Alejandre; Mr. Jerome Yeo, SM Lanang Assistant Mall Manager; DOT RD Mr. Art Boncato; Ms. Debbie Go, Assistant Vice President for Operations for Mindanao; Ms. Margarita Moran Floirendo; and Mr. Russel Alaba, Group Brand Manager for Visayas & Mindanao of SM Supermalls.
I missed Ms. Therese Lapena, SM Lanang Mall Manager during the Christmas launch.
Ms. Rochelle “Chel” Venuti (wife of Romano Venuti of Swiss Deli and Picobello Ristorante Italiano) hosted the grand event and it was nice to hear her lovely voice as she sang at the beginning of the show.
We were also awed by the powerhouse vocal and the beautiful voice of Ms. Juliet Bahala (new lead vocalist of MYMP who is from Davao). She is grand prize winner of 2007 Star of Davao.
SM Supermalls Assistant Vice President for Operations in Mindanao Ms. Debbie Go gave a special Christmas message.
Christmas is about sharing and gift giving. A perfect time to share with the less fortunate orphans. Buy two teddy bears from SM… one to keep and one to give to a child in need. Sharing the gift of hope and the many blessings we have received this year is something we should think about this Christmas season.
SM encourages all of us to join them with their campaign – SM Cares Bears of Joy. Donation of P100 will earn you a pair of bears. One bear you can keep while the other one you will leave behind as donation and will be displayed in the Christmas tree in the mall. It will be donated to children in need through the SM Cares program. You can purchase these SM Cares Bears of Joy starting tomorrow November 12, 2012 in SM malls nationwide.
Ballerinas from the Agnes Locsin School of Ballet joined Ms. Debbie Go in the ceremonial display of bears.
SM Supermalls’ ad for Christmas 2012 was also shown during the show.
Girls from the Davao City National High School Choir sang Christmas songs as well.
Ms. Margarita “Margie” Moran-Floirendo was the special guest of the event.
She waved the magic wand during the highlight of the event which was the lighting ceremony of the majestic 40 feet tree as she light up the grand, colorful and very beautiful Christmas tree.
The LCB Performing Arts Center students performed dressed as fairies to make the launch more delightful to those who witnessed it yesterday.
Of course any Christmas celebration won’t be complete without the presence of Santa of course.
Some lucky children were selected by the City Social Services Development Office and were there to receive early Christmas gifts from Santa himself who was surrounded by four elves.
The Christmas Season at SM was made even more joyful as people get the chance to meet and pose for a photo souvenir with Santa Claus himself today, November 11, 2012 at the Atrium of SM Lanang Premier.
These cookies designed with gingerbread man design on top, minty candy canes and a sweet chocolate drink were served to the guests at the end of the show.
Mr. Gatchi Gatchalian of Gatchi and Gatchi the event organizer gamely posed for me with his two staff dressed as Santa’s elves.
Have a merry, loving, joyful, sharing and giving Christmas season everyone!!! 🙂
Thank you SM Lanang Premier for inviting us to this wonderful event!
XOXO

“We were also awed by the powerhouse vocal and the beautiful voice of Ms. Juliet Bahala (new lead vocalist of MYMP who is from Davao).”
I think not anymore..Juliet, who was a former member of UM Chorale, was told by MYMP to get a vacation but, to her surprise, was actually replaced by a new vocalist – and she just knew it when she checked the MYMP Facebook page. Juliet is really good…just could not imagine why MYMP did it to her.
However, today, I heard that Juliet is planning to audition for Madz membership – the UP Madrigal Singers.
The tree looks magical! Cool photos 🙂
Nice shots! The event has, one way or another, unlocked the Christmas spirit for the upcoming season. Excited for Christmas! Gifts, food and music. 🙂
@Dust, thank you Dust! Have a blessed Christmas! 🙂
