Ukelele

A recent trip to the mall, my little guy and I found ourselves going into this store for the first time to check out their ukelele and other items.

Summer vacation is just a month away so I am already thinking of how he may spend it learning this musical instrument as introduction to the guitar which he can learn in a few years.

I do recall my younger years in grade school when I used to own my one and only ukelele. I was part of a group with a few selected students in grade school that played for a school program and I remember learning to play the banduria as well. A few days ago, I was looking for something… with a 12-rackspace rolling sidecar that has a work surface and casters that are height-adjustable, when I came to browse on other musical instruments in an online store that sells various musical instruments. I searched for the current price of ukelele these days but it was in dollars.

Then I remembered this store in the second floor of SM Lanang Davao that sells ukelele so I kept in mind to drop by to check out the prices. Price range from more than two thousand to more than ten thousand in our currency.

These ukeleles in the photo above are some of those that they have. This one is colorful that kids will love playing with them. I am yet to convince the little guy to try this out and possibly attend one of this store’s jamming sessions during weekends. I think they usually hold it on Sunday afternoon. Hope to be able to watch them perform and I hope it will encourage our kid to join in soon.
