New Instagrammable Coffee Shop in Davao City: Mr. Wen Cafe

A nice and spacious new coffee shop opened recently in Davao City called Mr. Wen Cafe.

 

When I saw photos of the interior, it makes one think of a library cafe like in your fave Korean drama. Also, for some reason it reminded me of the old Gangnam in Davao in Matina. This new cafe though is a lot nicer and love the library feels of the center area which the wifi service area. They have a good wifi connection (unlike in CP and DJ coffee shops which are more expensive and I could never ever connect to their free wifi. Hahaha. It’s quite frustrating when you are low in data or used up your mobile data limit and need wifi. Anyway, it’s okay since it is safer to use your own mobile data these days for security.)

Another section of the cafe at the right makes one think of being inspired from a French cafe vibes with those nice chandeliers. The high ceiling makes it even more spacious.

For private functions, meetings, small gatherings and parties you can book their VIP room. I think the room can be used for around P5,000. The staff I asked was not yet sure of the details or if the amount has a consumable portion.

 

Wen Cafe had its opening last August 4, 2023. It is usually full but when we went there for breakfast, there were only a few people an hour from their opening. They open at 8AM so this is another option for a nice breakfast place when in downtown or poblacion area of Davao City.

We thought before that this building was going to be a parking building but it turned out to be a commercial building. Great to find an instagrammable cafe that serves breakfast and a coffee shop that has a nice interior plus good wifi connection as far as we have experienced when we dined there a few days ago.
