Music and the Rain
During the first two days of the new year 2017, we saw that rain has been pouring around the city and other places in the country. We do hope this means that blessings will also be pouring into our lives every day of the year and the years to come.
We stayed home for the first two days of the year except when we went out to attend church on new year’s day which was on a Sunday and a church feast day. Staying at home, I made our stay more relaxing enjoying the music and the rain. My little guy would love to go out and sing in the rain but health-wise, we decided to stay indoors and just sing while it was raining outside.
Yesterday afternoon, we spent it inside our home filling our place with music while my son was asking me about what the banjo was. I showed him what I found like the deluxe 5 string banjo which has all the features you would expect from a premium instrument, without the premium price tag. I remember having the opportunity of playing the banjo when I was in grade school. Our school then had given me a chance to learn playing these instruments along with a select few among the students. I was relating this to my son while we were listening to music and watching the rain outside. The cold weather gave us a cozy atmosphere at home perfect for listening to music while it continued to rain harder.
Today the sun is out and was shining more, allowing us to see some sunshine and enjoy some time outside on the last day of vacation before going back to school tomorrow. But right now it looks like we will be having rain later in the afternoon once again. Stay dry and have a great day!
