Kadayawan World Vibe

As the Kadayawan Festival weekend celebration finally came to a close last weekend, we capped it off by watching the Kadayawan World Vibe cultural show that was held in the evening at the Fountain Court of SM Lanang Premier. The show featured our very own Davao’s pride Maan Chua with the famous and iconic music artist Joey Ayala accompanied by two other artists on stage as shown in the photo.

We enjoyed watching this cultural show along with the many people who came to enjoy the last few events around the city as the festival drew to a close. I think it was also our first time to see Joey Ayala in person performing in a show. I’ve seen him many times on TV and yes as he mentioned his appearance in that movie of Aga Mulach and Lea Salonga where he performed one of my fave songs of his.

My little kid told me after the show that the performer had a guitar. Yes the mere mention of that by my kid made me think about the… which a friend of mine had been searching for quite sometime. I hope my son would learn to appreciate more this kind of cultural shows and the kind of songs from the local music scene.
