Enchanted Christmas at SM City Davao

The most wonderful time of the year is indeed here! Christmas is a joyful season that is a fave of everyone for the fun, cheer, season of loving, giving and sharing.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas this early at SM City Davao!

This year, we started the holiday season events with the enchanted and magical Christmas forest launching as SM City Davao celebrates this year’s Christmas season starting today November 8, 2013 at 5:30PM at the Event Center of The Annex at SM City Davao.

This Friday, November 8, SM City Davao kicks off the holiday season with an exciting program that celebrates the warmth and spirit of Christmas among kids and the young at heart.

At 5:30 pm, SM City Davao will have its Christmas Launch and unveil its Enchanted Christmas Forest at The Event Center, The Annex. Around 300 invited guests are expected to attend the event.

Davao City Administrator Atty. Melchor Quitain graced the event and will give a short message during the program.

Enchanted Christmas Forest is inspired by Davao City as a captivating garden, teeming with greenery, rich and diverse natural resources, and beautiful scenery. It will take guests and visitors to a magical world filled with Christmas fairies, nymphs, and elves and a fascinating display of Christmas trees, stars, lights and adornments. At the center of this forest is a 22-ft. tall Christmas tree, which will make for a captivating sight in The Annex.

SM City Davao’s early Christmas celebration will also highlight the giving of gifts to around 150 children, who are beneficiaries from the Davao City Social Services and Development Office. Musical numbers and other activities will also be held to entertain the crowd.

The public is invited to visit the Enchanted Christmas Forest at The Annex, which will be on display until January 6, 2014.

The Christmas Launch, along with the presentation of gifts to kids, has been an annual tradition of SM City Davao and all SM malls nationwide to mark the Christmas season. Another launch will also be held at SM Lanang Premier on November 16.

I along with my boys and friends I saw there enjoyed the Christmas launch as it made us feel the enchanting season of Christmas that we use to see as kids through the kids we saw there who are beneficiaries from the Davao City Social Services and Development Office.
