Blugre is proudly a Davao brand since 1998. When you come to Davao and look for Durian coffee, Blugre Coffee shops in town have long been known as the perfect place to go. It is one of those things that makes us proud especially with people and friends we know from Manila who come here looking and wanting to try their popular durian coffee.
Blugre is going GLOBAL as it plans to open branches in Las Vegas and Los Angeles hopefully this year. They are bringing the durian coffee to the world and in the US. They also plan to open in Singapore. It is an exciting thought for us Dabawenyos that aside from more branches opening in the country, Blugre is going global by opening in the US and in Asia.
They will be offering new drinks that would emphasize durian and new food added in the menu soon that are sugar-free. They also have been planning to open twenty (20) new stores this year and after having opened four (4) stores, there are still looking into opening 16 more stores for Blugre. It’s good as it also opens job opportunities for our people and more local coffee shops to patronize and hang out with friends for good coffee and company. We sometimes pass by their Landco branch at night and it is often full with groups of people mostly friends, some students and people having their meetings.
The new owners and management of Blugre (which took over January 9, 2012) aim for their customers and clients to gain and foster ownership and choice about the Blugre lifestyle.
When it newly opened in SM Lanang, we were sometimes there especially when we wait for hubby to go home from work while I enjoy something I crave for… my fave macaroon loaf that they sell at P60 each (note bigger in size than the usual macaroons that are sold hence the price). Personally, I miss the oatmeal fudge bar that was an old fave of mine back in our Blugre Landco days.
We got to enjoy their Tuna Cheesemelt and Cheese Roll Bites during our meeting with Ms. Joanne Siy and Mr. Benjamin M. Cuaresma of Blugre Coffee.
Old Blugre branches such as the one in MTS had undergone renovation plus they now serve breakfast. Blugre Abreeza recently opened. Plus there will be new stores opening soon – Blugre Tagum City near the Tagum City Hall as the 9th branch which will open soon on February 22, 2013 while another new branch – Blugre Davao Doctors will open soon as well on February 28, 2013, the 10th branch. This latest addition to the growing number of their branches will most likely be going 24/7 to cater customers from the hospital and students from DDC among other customers.
Blugré Coffee has the first three branches in Davao City in Landco Corporate Center, Matina Town Square, and SM City Davao. Then one in General Santos City at JMP Bldg., South Osmeña Street. Another one in Robinsons General Santos. They also recently opened in Gaisano Mall Davao, SM Lanang Sky Garden and in Abreeza Mall. Then soon in Tagum City and Davao Doctors.
Blugre is also making their coffee shops child-friendly putting up small tables for the kids that come along with the family.
BLUGRE GIVES BACK. As what Mr. Benjamin M. Cuaresma, Vice President for Franchise of Blugre Coffee said that the coffee shop has an active participation in the carbon neutral program. They are working with DENR in planting mahogany trees. They also support B’laan tribes build additional schools and support their coffee livelihood. These are just a few of the ways that Blugre as a brand gives back.
