Davao City Mayor Rody Duterte in Mind

Davao City Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte has announced in a presscon this afternoon that he is not running for Presidency this 2016 election.

These are two different standees of the Mayor which we saw at the cooperatives month exhibit in Abreeza Mall five days ago.

I just remembered about this photo when I heard about the announcement hours after this evening. In honesty, I had tears rolling down my eyes. I dunno why. It was bitter sweet in the sense that many people counted on him, hoped against hope that he will still consider running for President.

It is sweet to note though that he said that he will run again for Mayor if his daughter former Mayor Sara Duterte – Carpio will not run as the city’s mayor in 2016. The City of Davao still needs you Mayor Rody.

The letter of Mayor that was shared on social media was unsigned. If indeed it was unsigned, for me and for some people who noticed it too, there is still a little bit of hope till Friday.
