This May, Davao’s premier shopping, lifestyle and pet-friendly destination is celebrating the National Pet Month with various activities for pet owners and their beloved furry animals.
SM Lanang Premier marks National Pet Month with Dog Agility Show
Watch pets show off their exceptional skills at the Dog Agility Show at The Fountain Court, SM Lanang Premier this May 3, at 4 pm.
A fun dog training event dubbed ‘Dog Agility Show’ will be held on Saturday, May 3, at 4 pm, at the Fountain Court grounds of SM Lanang Premier. It is organized by the Davao Agility Unified Group, Black Mask Kennel Davao, The Ark, Philippine Dogs Athletic Association and Davao City Mondio Ring in collaboration with SM Lanang Premier, the Vice Mayor’s Office and Kakimkris Lechon.
The Dog Agility Show aims to promote responsible dog ownership, encourage good relations between a dog and its owner, help a pet owner to handle and take care of his or her dog, and showcase pets’ exceptional skills through a one-of-a-kind dog training event. Open to all small and large breed dogs, it will test pets’ skills in three categories: standard agility, jumpers and extreme weave pole.
Interested parties may register their dogs at the venue from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm at a minimal fee. Exciting prizes await the winners of each category.
SM Lanang Premier is the first pet-friendly shopping establishment in Davao City. In May 2013, it launched its ‘Pets are welcome here’ campaign to provide a venue where all pets’ needs are met and ensure a pleasurable shopping experience for pet owners and their pets. SM Lanang Premier allows pets to be carried inside mall premises and dog owners to walk their dogs at the mall’s Fountain Court grounds. Pet litter bins are set up just outside the mall building so dog and cat owners can easily clean up after their pets.
