Robinsons Abreeza 2023 Kadayawan Exhibit:
History of Philippine Money from Spanish Period to Present

Sir Rene Adapon started this Philippine currency collection exhibit in 2014 in NCCC Mall.

We’ve visited his exhibits in

Sir Rene and his assistants are dressed in costumes
fit for the Kadayawan festival this month of August 2023.

Below are some snaps of the currency collection displayed at the said exhibit.

If you have been to Sir Rene’s exhibits before,
you know he loves to give out some prizes to people
who visit and are able to answer his random trivia
questions about the currencies on display.

It was fun doing this trivia game of Sir Rene along with a sales staff
of one of the stalls at the Robinsons Supermarket in Abreeza.
Sir Rene asked us who was the first Ilonggo you can find in the Philippine currency.

It’s Graciano Lopez Jaena who is from Jaro, Iloilo
and you can find him in the five pesos paper currency.
