Operation Tulong Express Accepts Donations for Typhoon ‘Yolanda’, & Earthquake Victims

SM Foundation joins the nation in extending aid to areas affected by the recent 7.2 magnitude earthquake and the super-typhoon Yolanda.

The socio-civic arm of SM Group of Companies has once again activated its “Operation Tulong Express” calamity response program to help provide immediate relief to victims in disaster-stricken areas of Tacloban, Ormoc, Samar, Bohol, Cebu, Iloilo, Capiz and Bicol.

The public can give donations via the Operation Tulong Express booths located at all SM malls across the country. In Davao, these are set up at SM Lanang Premier’s Upper Ground Level, near Terranova and SM City Davao near Entrance 1.

Donations may be in cash or in kind, preferably basic relief supplies such as food and water.

SM Foundation is taking the lead in the relief efforts with the nationwide reach of SM Cares of the mall group, SM Savemore, and BDO Foundation.

In addition to these efforts, the SM Group also announced on November 11 its plans to allocate P100M as calamity fund for calamity-hit areas. The fund will focus on five different types of assistance: rebuilding homes, community centers, schools, and churches, and providing immediate relief through food and supplies.
