Nino Basilio Bags: Proudly Pinoy Made Modernized Native Bags
Finally seeing personally for the first time these Nino Basilio bags on display at the 2nd BIMP-EAGA & IMT-GT Trade Fair at the SMX Convention Center at SM Lanang Premier. We’re proud and happy for you Basil!

These are modernized native bags that are all made of dried pandan leaves which are colored and then woven to make a bag. Most are handheld bags with handles made of treated mahogany. I am interested in getting a pink Karlton 35 bag design that has a sling.
The bags prices are reasonably affordable. Most people will initially think they are really expensive like my hubby who initially thought the price is twice the actual price. He was surprised to learn the price is only half of what he thought. Perhaps because knowing Basil loves to collect expensive branded bags, he thought these bags are also expensive.
I love the thought that these bags are not only proudly Pinoy made, but they are made by someone I know. I remember Basil telling me before about his plan to create and design bags. Now that plan has finally materialized.
The Nino Basilio bags are also sold at Martish in J.P. Laurel Avenue near Villa Margarita Hotel. You can visit Nino Basilio Bags to check out their bag designs and for updates.
