NCCC Launches New Corporate Name as LTS Retail Specialists Inc.
NCCC held a presscon last January 26, 2017 4PM at the function room of Coco’s Restaurant at the DAVCON Compound in F. Torres Street, Davao City, for the launching of the new corporate name LTS Retail Specialist, Inc.
Aside from highlighting the integration of the following NCCC Business Units under LTS Retail Specialist INC. – NCCC Supermarket, Choice Mart, HB1 Pharmacy, Bread Factory and Munchies, they also introduced an important campaign advocacy of their Fresh Department that they buy direct from local farmers. A special appearance of Choice Mart Ambassadress, Honorable Mayor Sara Z. Duterte-Carpio was supposed to be a part of the said event but she was not able to make it then due to another important function as Mayor of our city.
For me personally as a consumer, hopefully this advocacy will help us get fresher and better quality products from the farmers that we can buy at any given day in a week at a more affordable or lesser price at the supermarket. Hope LTS will also support more into organic farming practices of local farmers as consumers now look for more organic products for healthier food that we can eat everyday.
Present during the presscon for the said launching was Mr. Lafayette Lim (center), CEO of LTS Pinnacle Holdings; (from left to right in the photo) Mr. Tjader Regis, Consultant; Mr. Teresito “Jojo” Canda, Vice President of LTS Retail Specialists; Atty. Darry Gallego, corporate lawyer and Public Relations head; and Mr. Bobby Mabanta, Consultant.

Darry Gallego, corporate lawyer and public relations head, said during the presscon that they have already applied for an amendment with SEC to have the consolidated brands reflected under the corporate name LTS Retail Specialists, Inc. and got the approval last October 2016. In support of the program of the Department of Agriculture, LTS Retail Specialists, Inc. advocates buying direct from local farmers.
“We actually had a talk with Secretary Pinol of the Dept. of Agriculture when he was working on the idea of giving fruit farmers direct access to the supermarkets. He did mention that DOA is working out on a system with which the onion farmers of the country especially those from Bongabon, Nueva Ecija will be able to deliver their produce to these chain of Supermarkets,” according to NCCC Consultant TJader P. Regis.
In support of the said system, LTS Retail Specialists, Inc. Vice President Teresito N. Canda said that “We already are sourcing fruits and vegetables from local farmers. We buy from them directly. We are commited to do this program for sustainable development. Our merchandising department fresh category is still looking for more farmers so we can increase exposure of our local farmers to more shoppers.
Regis further added that the NCCC Group of Companies is glad to be part of this advocacy and that giving a chance to local farmers will definitely contribute an improvement on their farming practices, resulting in higher production levels and better quality crops while conserving the country’s environmental resources. In turn, the partnership will lead to secure supply of quality local produce fresh wherein all the shoppers will benefit.
