Learn a New Language

I have been wanting to learn a new language for quite a long time. Out of the blue as we were walking and passed by USEP, I saw this signage outside the gate.

It was only last week when I started browsing online for sites where one can learn the basics of a new language. Chinese was one of the language I am most interested in since my kid’s mother tongue in their school is Chinese and not Visayan. I feel hopeless when it comes to tutor him when he needs to review for their quiz, test or exam in school.

Fortunately it was my kid’s highest final grade last school year. Yet I still feel I want to learn it so that I could help him progress faster hopefully. I also read before that learning a new language has a positive effect on older people to prevent a certain disease. I just thought about it too when I was thinking about older people and while I was trying to look more into something… delivering the technology to senior living facilities, that a friend was asking me about a couple of nights ago.

I’ll inquire more into these short term language courses offered and see if it will fit my extra budget.
