Green Banana Business Hotel Opens at Pryce Business Park in Davao

It is a new and nice five-storey budget-friendly business hotel offering affordable rates for business people, families, travelers and tourists. It is strategically located within the heart of our beloved Davao City.

It has thirty-three (33) hotel rooms all in all. This one shown in the photo below is one of their family rooms which can accommodate four people.

The hotel beds are from Dunlopillo, which has a store located at Abreeza Mall Davao.

Their clean rooms are provided with a cable LED TV, also a nice toilet and bath with hot and cold shower in an enclosed shower area.

                           

Single Room

Plus they have WIFI as well which is important in this age for people like business and leisure travelers. It is considered an absolute must in hotels anywhere in the world where people like to constantly connect and communicate through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other other social media networks.

They also have functions rooms in the fifth floor and in the mezzanine floor. This one shown below is their function room at the mezzanine floor above Jiggo’s Cafe. This can accommodate around 15 people.

  Their function room in the fifth floor, shown below with Ms. Allexy in the photo, can cater to around 30 people. You can have your company functions here like seminars, workshops, product presentations, training, meetings, birthdays and other functions at P350/pax. We had a tour of the hotel two days after it opened with the hotel owner’s daughter, Ms. Allexy A. Flores who graduated just this year from Ateneo de Davao University, now a CPA and is the Chief Finance Officer of their family’s first hotel venture. Malls like Abreeza, Gaisano Mall and Victoria Plaza; banks, hardware, even hospitals, meat shop, convenience stores, salons, coffee shops, fastfood restos, other business and food establishments in the city are very accessible from this hotel.

Some are even just within walking distance from this new hotel in town.

The hotel is named Green Banana because their family is in the banana business.

Color green is also the theme and color seen mostly in the hotel.

We met Ms. Allexy’s mom, Dra. Flores, who is a dentist.

One of the good things in staying in this hotel is that it has a cafe-restaurant-coffeeshop-bar called Jiggo’s (named after the brother of Ms. Allexy) at the ground floor near the reception area. It is a well-lit cafe. I like the idea of the booth seating of their couches in the cafe that gives some privacy for diners. The cafe-restaurant serves Filipino comfort food, coffee, cakes and pastries. We had dinner at Jiggo’s Cafe hosted by Ms. Allexy after the tour of the hotel and here are the food that they served. Clam Chowder Rosemary Chicken Ms. Allexy said this Rosemary Chicken with potatoes and cheese is her favorite.

  I particularly loved the potato with cheese.

This delicious flan which they served sweetly capped off our dinner with Ms. Allexy.

The hotel owners has opened a franchiseof 7 Eleven which opened just recently at the ground floor. We love the fresh air there at the al fresco area during the day and even at night.

You will enjoy your stay at that al fresco area of this particular 711 store especially at night hanging out with some friends or with your family.
