Earth Hour 2014 at SM City Davao | Be a Superhero for the Planet

Earth Hour is a simple concept that quickly turned into a global phenomenon Last 2013, over 7,000 cities, towns, provinces and municipalities in 154 countries and territories switched off their lights for one hour to highlight awareness on global climate change.

In the Philippines, almost 1,671 Filipino towns, cities, provinces and municipalities joined the rest of the world in taking a stand to create a better future for our planet. Cebu reportedly lowered 11 MWs during the Earth Hour, contributing a full fourth of all territory participants. A large part of this was through the initiative of our 46 SM Supermalls. And in China, 6 SM Supermalls namely SM Xiamen, SM Lifestyle Center, SM Jinjiang, SM Chenghua, SM Wuzhong and SM Yubei also contributed in this undertaking.

This coming 29^th of March, from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm, SM Supermalls will once again stage Earth Hour to inspire Filipinos and Chinese to take a stand on the indiscriminate threat of global warming and a make a commitment to a low-carbon lifestyle by switching off their lights. ?

With 48 SM Supermalls in the Philippines and 6 SM Malls in China join them simultaneously switch off their lights with this year’s Earth Hour theme “Use your Power.”
