DTI Now Allows Real Estate Selling and Buying during GCQ
Good news! The Department of Trade and Industry gave a go signal for the Real Estate sector to resume selling and buying of real estate properties once the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) is lifted and softened to General Community Quarantin (GCQ) which is expected to take effect after May 15, 2020.
This is according to the DTI Memorandum Circular released on May 5, 2020 detailing the list of business establishments or activities allowed to operate in areas declared under GCQ, as confirmed and adopted by the President under Executive Order Number 112 s. 2020.
Under page 5, the guideline states that “Real Estate Activities (For GCQ: Include leasing, buying, selling, subdividing, appraising and development of cemetery and columbarium )” are allowed once GCQ is implemented.
