“Cherry Blossom” Like Trumpet Tree in Malungon

Wanna experience Sakura or Cherry Blossoms near Davao City?

About 2 hours drive from Davao to Malandag and Nagpan in Malungon, Saranggani Province along the National Highway you will pass by around this time of the year what looks like cherry blossoms and has become a photo shoot and tourist spot in the area.

The Trumpet tree or Tabebuia Rosea is often mistaken as the Cherry Blossoms tree which we know is popular in Japan and other places for their pink flower blossoms during spring in end of March or April.

I don’t usually get to travel this area around that time so I haven’t seen them in bloom. My husband isn’t particular about it as they often pass this place every weekend. So when I saw the news, I specifically asked him to take some photos.
