Ash Wednesday Mass in Davao| Lent 2014

Ash Wednesday last March 5, 2014 marked the start of the Lenten season for this year. We attended the 5:30PM mass at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish or more commonly known as the Redemptorist Church here in Davao City.

The church was filled with people earlier and more than the usual number of people who attend the Wednesday afternoon mass in this church on ordinary days.

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Season of Lent. It is a season of penance, reflection, and fasting which prepares us for Christ’s Resurrection on Easter Sunday. 

After the mass we headed out to Abreeza Mall for dinner at Hukad where we had a no-pork dinner and I remembered I also had to look for something that does not wrinkle. I need this for an upcoming gathering in our parish community this Lenten season.

May this season of Lent give each of us a more meaningful experience that make us better persons and member of our community.
