It’s Christmas for foodies in Davao City! Don’t miss the second wave of the Davao Gourmet Collective happening December 6-8, 2013 during mall hours at SM Lanang Atrium.
Mr. Russel Alaba, AVP for Marketing in Mindanao of SM Supermalls gave the welcome remarks during the opening on December 6, 2013 at 11AM of the Christmas Holiday Edition 2013 of the Davao Gourmet Collective at SM Lanang Premier.
It is my pleasure to welcome all of you today to the holiday edition of the Davao Gourmet Collective.
This artisan food festival is SM Lanang Premier’s way of showcasing the exceptional eats and the most alluring specialties uniquely made in Davao.
The first Davao Gourmet Collective organized during the Kadayawan Festival last August was a platform for promoting tourism in this part of the country.
It was a success, thanks to the support and patronage of thousands of locals and even tourists from all over the country who visited us to get a taste of Davao. We also thank our partners in the local and national media for helping us spread the good news.
Just like the first Davao Gourmet Collective, the Holiday Market also aims to promote food tourism in Davao. This second wave will again highlight our most distinctive local flavors but this time it will focus on the gourmet must-haves on our favorite time of the year.
We have teamed up with the city’s finest pool of gourmands, food artisans and chefs to bring this idea into fruition. Dabawenyos and tourists alike can get a taste of Christmas with our broad selection of food specially crafted and uniquely offered by our participating purveyors – Crazy Cook and Bangkok Wok helmed by Ms. Carmina del Rosario, RBG of Park Inn Davao brought to us by its Executive Chef Jayme Natividad, Cellar de Boca Wine Kitchen by Mr. Vince Arcenas, Jonathan’s Cupcakery by Mr. Jonathan Ramirez, Osvaldo’s Cakes by Mr. Joel Rodriguez, Baby Cakes by Ms. Maite Gempesaw, La Bodeguita by Ms. Yvonne Soriano, Sunahama Ramen by Ms. Mia Pineda, Pastanni by Chef Annie Cacho-Garcia, Sweet Spot Artisan Ice Cream by Ms. Bianca Dizon, Bleu Chili Wing Bar by Chef Gemma Herradura, and of course, last but not the least, Malagos Farmhouse Cheeses by Ms. Olive Puentespina.
Their enticing offerings from must-try chicken satay, tonkatsu, specialty wraps and porchetta to sweet confections such as cheese cakes, cupcakes, artisan ice cream and chocolates, these will definitely get you hooked and craving for more.
We are inviting everyone to be part of this rare gastronomic celebration starting today until Sunday, December 8.
