Marco Polo Davao Welcomes the Year of the Dog

As our Filipino-Chinese friends were about to celebrate the Chinese New Year, our friends in Marco Polo Davao ushered the year of the dog with their special Chinese New Year’s Eve celebration at the hotel last February 15, 2018.

To signify the start of the celebration, a Dragon and Lion Dance performance by Wushu Lion Dancers at the hotel entrance following the traditional Dotting of the Eye lead by Department of Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo, Assistant Secretary Eden David, Marco Polo Davao General Manager Dottie Wurgler-Cronin and Mr. Juanito Yap.

An auspicious spread at Lotus Court featuring its signature items – Peking Duck and savory seafood items and homemade tofu. Traditional Tikoy (in classic and Ube flavors) are also available in the buffet as well as the retail area for takeaways. While partaking their dinner, guests was entertained with a cultural performance from the students of Colegio de San Ignacio.

The Chinese New Year Celebration was also widely celebrated by Marco Polo Hotels in all its 14 properties in China, Hong Kong and the Philippines.
